Moderate Quake Hits Northern Sumatra
KUALA LUMPUR - A magnitude 5.4 earthquake hit northern Sumatra at 6.58pm yesterday.
The Malaysian Meteorological Department in a statement said the epicentre was 25km northwest of Permatang Siantar, Indonesia and 233km northwest of Sabak Bernam, Selangor.
